I'm trying to decide the exact best way to remind Avi that today is my birthday. ::coughs:: Now, before you get too outraged, let me remind you that I'm notorious for forgetting people's birthdays, even those I've known forever and a day ::pointedly is not looking at ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) blue_braces, mscongeniality, morganminstrel:: Heck, I once forgot my mother's birthday...and it's the day after mine!
So for me to get completely pissed at him would be a bit absurd. But I have to admit that considering that the kids have pink eye (through the magic of modern medicine they're doing fabulously) and today I developed a virus that's given me a nasty cough, sore threat, and horrible headache...it'd have been nice to hear "Happy birthday" from him. ::shrug:: He did come home early yesterday, though, which was nice, and made dinner tonight while I was lying down for a few minutes.
And I treated Yael and myself to sushi for lunch and a strawberry parfait for dessert. Then I took Yael to the dentist and she got new books from the store as a reward. I bought myself two books as well, because I figured if I don't spoil myself, who's going to do it for me?
And Yael was fabulous almost all day and then from bath time on, she was pretty much the worst she's been ever. Ugh. My head is pounding even more from all her screaming and we had to hold her down to put her pajamas on and do the eyedrops.
::pause to hack up a lung:: I do hate being sick. Last night I got even less sleep than usual. I may actually use a dose of my precious hoarded codeine cough syrup tonight just to get some sleep. Avi can either bring the hungry boy to me or kick me until I wake up. ::coughs more:: |

I have had a cough for almost two weeks now. Kind of persistent and uncomfortable, but other than being tired, I feel okay. For awhile I thought I was lingering on the verge of another illness, but it doesn't seem to be working out that way.
This Sunday Matt and I are helping J move. She is getting out of a 6-year-long relationship with a guy who has never made her happy. Finally. He's a sweet guy, but he lacks any motivation whatsoever, be it in his finances, bettering himself or working on their relationship. This has been a long time coming.
Now that things are final... she has signed a lease, boxes are being packed, etc, the guy is acting kind of weird and saying weird stuff about how if we come over Sunday, he is going to make us "very uncomfortable" and telling her that no one can come and help her move while he is there. I am a little antsy about it. We've got another guy coming to help, but I'm hoping we can round up more helpers just in case the scorned ex decides to freak out. |
